Film

Julia is diving into the world of film via auditions and classes at Scottsdale Community College. She's an actor first and foremost, but writing has been calling to her.

She can be seen as Raven in the upcoming short musical series Technicolor Dreamboat, as Charlie in Quirk, as the Host in Pearly Baits, and as a featured extra in both Shadow Valley and More Than Meets the Eye.

So far, she has written two features and multiple shorts, most of them unrealized. She started with plays and found some ideas transfer well over mediums. For example, her short Retribution was originally written for black box theater!

Retribution is her current baby, she made it before any film classes. It takes a new stance on sexual assault and autonomy. It was an official selection for several film festivals. It won Best Director of a short and Best Producing of a short from Show Low Film Festival. The full short can be watched on YouTube (or on my homepage!)

Her latest creations are student projects, but she's sharing them below so you can enjoy in their silliness. Flash Light! was a group project focusing on the use of light as a storytelling element. Brave Face was a challenge to tell a complete story in three minutes with no sync-sound. The P.S.A. about Girls Nights Out is so goofy that she saved it for last.

She has worked as a Production Assistant for Party Bus and More Than Meets the Eye and is always open to opportunities to be on set. Call her up!

Please enjoy some of the very wide array of content she put her hands on.

This was a highschool music video group project. It was shot, directed, and edited by Julia.
